About IOL Reference

IOL Reference is a free, clinician-maintained database of intraocular lenses (IOLs) used in cataract and refractive surgery. It was created by Gurpal Virdi, MD and Matt Hirabayashi, MD, both cataract and refractive surgeons.

Every lens entry is compiled from manufacturer specification sheets and product labelling, and lists model numbers, A-constants (optical and US/SRK), material, optic design, asphericity, refractive index, available power range, toric cylinder values, and dimensions.

Corrections and additions

Specifications change and manufacturers add models. If you find an error or a missing lens, please get in touch — corrections from practising surgeons are how this database stays accurate.
